It has been confirmed that the future of French striker Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal is far being settled following claims by manager Mile Arteta that the club is yet to open start contract talks with him.
This summer transfer window has seen the future of the former Lyon striker being debated with suggestions that he would be leaving as a result of the limited starting role he had last season.
Some reports immediately linked him with a move Italian Serie A outfit Juventus while others claim he is being wanted at the Spanish La Liga club Atletico Madrid.

Alexandre Lacazette has come out to dismissal of the reports, insisting that he is happy at the Emirates Stadium and will continue to respect the decision of the Spanish manager.
However, Mikel Arteta told Sky Sports that the French Man who scored his 50th goal for Arsenal in Saturday’s 2-1 win over West Ham United is currently not in negotiation for a new deal with the club.
The North London manager, therefore, noted that he is happy with the player but there cannot be any speculation over his future as the focus for the club is to make more additions in this summer window.
