Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on course to sign a new contract at the club according to The Athletic.
Aubameyang, who has one year left on his present Arsenal deal, was linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid earlier this summer.
It was revealed that the Gabonese international will become the highest earner at Arsenal once he has signed the three-year deal until the end of the 2022/23 season. His weekly salary will potentially surpass the £350, 000 currently earned by Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is said to have played a big role in convincing the player that his future lies in North London.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 71 goals in 110 appearances since he joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund. The Gunners paid a club-record fee of £56m for the 31-year-old attacker when he signed in January 2018.
The transfer record was broken last summer when the Gunners paid £72m for Nicholas Pepe. The Ivorian winger joined from LOSC Lille in the French Ligue 1.
Aubameyang has shown his importance to the Gunners over the past seasons especially last season when he led the North London side to the FA Cup title.
He scored both goals as Arsenal beat favourites Manchester City in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. The Gunners saw off the Citizens 2-0 in the final four of the competition.
Aubameyang also netted twice in the final to give Arsenal a 2-1 win over London rivals Chelsea.
