Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is the subject of an interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur according to the latest reports emanating from the British media.

According to the specific report from the Daily Star, Spurs are interested in Jesse Lingard and the transfer could cost £30m.

It was said that Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is keen to reunite with Jesse Lingard whom he managed during his time at Old Trafford between 2016 and 2018.

Lingard started well under current Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but he was unable to maintain that form.

The England international was an important player for Manchester United during the interim managerial regime of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Jesse Lingard scored just one league goal for Manchester United throughout last season.

He scored the last goal of the league season for the Red Devils last term as Leicester City lost 2-0 at home to Manchester United on the final day of last season.

Spurs could make Jesse Lingard their fifth signing of this transfer window after Pierre Emile Hojberg, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Balr.

Danish international Hojberg signed for Spurs from Southampton, while Doherty has joined from Wolves.

The duo of Reguilon and Bale have signed for Spurs from Spanish outfit Real Madrid.
