Premier League champions Liverpool have improved their title-winning squad with two signings in the space of two days and it looks like the Merseysiders are not done with transfers according to journalist Chris Williams.

It was reported by the journalist that the Reds are in contact with Schalke 04 over their defender Ozan Kabak.

Liverpool are one defender short following the exit of Dejan Lovren this summer. The Croatian international has signed for Russian Premier League side Zenit St. Petersburg.

Lovren had one year left on his Liverpool contract before he left England for Russia.

His replacement at Liverpool could be Ozan Kabak who’s rated at £40m by his German Bundesliga outfit.

Schalke 04 have financial issues at the moment and a bid of around £22m could be enough to prise Kabak away from the Germans.

Ozan Kabak, 20, was in the starting XI as Schalke 04 travelled to Munich to face Bavarian giants and treble winners Bayern Munich in the first game of the 2020/21 German Bundesliga season.

He was unable to prevent his team from suffering a heavy defeat against Bayern.

Ozan Kabak played 90 minutes as Bayern thrashed Schalke 04 8-0.

Former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry was the star of the show as he scored a treble.
