Transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano has delivered an exciting update on Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and Arsenal.
French midfielder Aouar is a top target for the Gunners this summer with manager Mikel Arteta looking to bolster his squad with the 22-year-old.
Fabrizio Romano took to his official Twitter account to reveal that the player wants to join Arsenal this summer before adding that the club will still need to agree a deal for him.
Houssem Aouar has been attracting a lot of interest from clubs in England, Spain and Italy this summer especially after his stellar performances in the Champions League last term.

He was instrumental to the success recorded by Lyon in the competition. The French club got to the semi-final stage before crashing out to eventual champions Bayern Munich.
Houssem Aouar scored one goal plus four assists in eight Champions League matches and also captained Lyon throughout the competition.
In a related development, Telefoot Chaine, a French media outlet says that Arsenal are set to make a €40m bid for Houssem Aouar with manager Mikel Arteta keen to add some creativity to his midfield.
Arsenal had earlier proposed a swap deal involving Matteo Guendouzi but the proposal was rejected by Lyon.
