From all indications, the future of Rob Holding at the North London club Arsenal has already been decided after been given the opportunity in the Premier League opener against Fulham.

The 24-year-old got the nod to start with David Luiz on the treatment table but that might not be the case for manager Mikel Arteta who has now decided to keep the English player at the club for more years.

Rob Holding is one of the Players that have been penciled down to leave the club this summer transfer window, according to reports with the arrival of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes but there has been a change of plans for the club after seeing him impress against Fulham.

Newcastle United are the club that have come for the signature of the Arsenal man on a loan deal but will now hold their peace as he has been reportedly told by manager Mikel Arteta to have a change of heart to remain at the club.

This development hints that there will be a great competition for a starting role in the defensive department as the Spanish boss has already made it clear that no one has an automatic shirt in the team.
