Premier League heavyweights Arsenal have reportedly made Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar their number one target for the remainder of the transfer market this summer.
The current transfer window has been open since July and it will end on the 5th of October.
ESPN confirmed the status of Houssem Aouar as the number one target for the Gunners and that the player will strengthen Gunners boss Mikel Arteta’s bid to play 4-3-3.
The 4-3-3 is the preferred formation for Mikel Arteta but he has been playing 3-4-3 in the past months due to the absence of the players that he really want in the system.

The 3-4-3 system has been very effective for Arteta as he brought him both the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Houssem Aouar and this was confirmed by Lyon sporting director Juninho Pernambucano in his last interview last week.
Houssem Aouar has moved ahead of €50m Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey as the top transfer target but the Gunners will have to pay his €60m asking price.
Arsenal must sell players to fund the transfer with the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, Sead Kolasinac, Sokratis Papasthathopoulos, Emiliano Martinez and many more up for sale.
