Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been the subject of a transfer bid from fellow Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer and the Midlands club is not giving up on the signing of the Gunners Academy graduate just yet.

Wolves made a first bid of around £15m for Maitland-Niles and it was rejected by the Gunners. The latest news is that Wolves want to return to Arsenal with another offer for the player.

According to the Daily Mail, Wolves want to make an improved bid for Maitland-Niles who made his debut for the Three Lions of England earlier this week.

He was a second half substitute as England played out a goalless draw at the home of Denmark in what was their second game in the second edition of the UEFA Nations League.

He didn’t feature at all when England beat hosts Iceland 1-0 in their first game courtesy the late penalty from Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has three years left on his Gunners deal and was recently named the man-of-the-match during the Community Shield clash between Arsenal and Liverpool last month.

He has been at Arsenal since the age of six and has made over 100 appearances for the North London club.
