Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to part ways with one of his support at the backroom as an assistant coach of the U-23 team, Quinton Fortune will now join the backroom team at Reading.

Quinton Fortune is a former Red Devils midfielder who took over the role at the club in July 2019 and helped Neil Wood’s side to promotion to Premier League 2 Division One.

The South American will now work with new Reading manager Veljko Paunovic ahead of his first season in the Championship in the coming weeks.

As a player, Quinton Fortune was a Man United player in 1999 where he had 126 appearances in seven seasons. After leaving the Old Trafford, he joined Bolton Wanderers in 2006 before starting his coaching adventure.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been working with a number of youth coaches that have helped him with the nurturing of youth players as he seeks to work with a number of them and give them the opportunity in the first team.

No doubt, Quinton Fortune is one of the youth coaches that have helped to discover the young talents and also helped in their development. His role will now be vacant until a new assistant coach is brought in.
