Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid seem to be preparing for life without Arsenal target Thomas Partey, as they are reported to be in the market for the signature of Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca.
Thomas Partey is a major summer transfer target for manager Mikel Arteta and he is keen to make a deal happen before the end of the summer transfer window. The Gunners have been in talks with the La Liga outfit with the first bid of a player-plus-cash offer rejected.

With the North London outfit not willing to give up on the chase, manager Diego Simeone appears to be giving up on keeping the Ghanian international midfielder, according to o Marca and already considering an alternative.
The Argentine is also tipped to leave Espanyol this season but no doubt he will remain at the La Liga if the interest from Atletico Madrid is something to write home about.
While Arsenal remain keen on Thomas Partey, It is believed Atletico might be forced to sell him to be able to cash in because of their high need of funds to be able to seal other deals while they will also be able to meet the release clause of the Espanyol midfielder who is also highly rated.
