Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have reportedly ended their pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira after the Gunners refused to change their stance during negotiations between the two teams.
According to Italian news portal Firenze Viola, Fiorentina have decided to move on to other transfer targets other than Uruguayan international star Torreira after the Gunners refused to lower the €30m asking price for the 24-year-old midfielder.

Fiorentina were willing to pay €25m for the player in two instalments but the offer was not enough to convince Arsenal who want to use the cash as part of the funds for the €50m release clause of Thomas Partey at Atletico Madrid.
Thomas Partey is the number one target for Arsenal this summer but the club has not been able to get the finances needed to pull off a transfer for the Ghanaian international.
The sale of Lucas Torreira would go a long way to aid Arsenal in the Thomas Partey bid.
Lucas Torreira has spent two years at the Emirates Stadium following his move from Sampdoria in the summer of 2018.
The Uruguayan is also attracting the interest of Torino this summer and this is mainly because of their manager Marco Giampolo who was the player’s manager at Sampdoria.
