Chelsea Yet To Bid For Goalkeeping Target

Chelsea are yet to make an official bid for Rennes shot stopper Edouard Mendy according to the publication via popular French transfer news outlet L’Equipe.
Edouard Mendy has emerged as the top target for the Blues in the goalkeeping department with the position of first choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga under serious threat.
Kepa Arrizabalaga was dropped for some games last season after series of underwhelming performances in the Chelsea goal.
Recent reports claimed that the Spanish international could return to his native Spain. He was the Blues’ record signing until last week when German international star Kai Havertz signed for the club from Bayer Leverkusen.

The West London giants paid £71m for Kepa Arrizabalaga to make him the most expensive goalkeeper in history.
The previously mentioned report from L’Equipe debunked earlier rumours that Chelsea made a £15m bid for Edouard Mendy.
The 28-year-old has been identified as the man to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Chelsea goal.
The Blues have also been linked with other goalkeepers like Atletico Madrid shot stopper Jan Oblak, Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper Andre Onana and Burnley goal minder Nick Pope.
Chelsea might need to pay another world record fee for a goalkeeper to prise Jan Oblak away from Atletico Madrid.
For Onana, Barcelona are also interested in him, while England international Pope won’t leave Burnley without a significant transfer fee.
