Why Arsenal Target Snubbed FC Porto Revealed

Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar has turned down the opportunity to sign for Portuguese champions FC Porto this summer.
According to AS, the player is not ready to swap Atletico Madrid for FC Porto despite enduring a largely disappointing spell at the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
It was also revealed that the major reason behind the decision is the lure of Premier League football with the likes of Everton and Wolves said to be interested in the player.

Thomas Lemar was one of the hottest wingers on the transfer market before the player signed for Atletico Madrid in 2018. He was one of the standout performers for the AS Monaco team that reached the Champions League final four surprisingly during the 2016/17 season.
His form at AS Monaco led to the interest of clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal but a below average spell at Atletico Madrid has led to a fall in his stock.
Thomas Lemar came close to joining Arsenal in the summer of 2017 but the club was unable to push through with a deal for the 24-year-old.
Arsenal had wanted him to replace Alexis Sanchez who was on his way to Manchester City at that time. Both deals eventually failed.
