New Chelsea acquisition Timo Werner has revealed the intention to battle with super favourites Liverpool and Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title for the 2020/21 season.
Timo Werner is one of the six signings Chelsea have made this summer on the back of his £53m transfer from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
According to him via the Daily Express, his new manager, Frank Lampard has already informed the Chelsea squad that the target is to fight Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title.

Liverpool and Manchester City have won the last three Premier League titles between them and they are considered the overwhelming top two favourites to win the title this season.
Lampard and Chelsea are trying to get to that level of battling for and winning Premier League titles once again with the acquisition of Timo Werner and others like Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva, Hakim Ziyech etc.
Chelsea have spent £140m on players this summer and are not done with splashing the cash. They are expected to boost their squad with the signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
The transfer for Kai Havertz could be a record-breaking one for Chelsea as per the various reports in the British media.
