Chelsea have been very busy in the transfer window this summer and they are about to get even busier as per the reports from the London Evening Standard.
The Blues have signed six players for the new season and they are about to make it seven with the imminent signing of Kai Havertz from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
It was revealed that Chelsea are on the verge of completing a club-record £90m for German international Kai Havertz including add-ons.

His signing will take Chelsea’s spending this summer over the £200m mark as the Blues try to regain their place as the best team in the Premier League. Their last Premier League title came under current Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte during the 2016/17 season.
The Blues have already completed deals for Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Xavier Mbuyamba, Timo Werner and Thiago Silva.
Despite the transfer splurge, Chelsea have been able to make some shrewd signings with the free transfer deals for defenders Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.
After the expected signing of Kai Havertz, Chelsea are likely to turn attention to the goalkeeping department with first choice Kepa Arrizabalaga under pressure after an average season in the last campaign.
Predicted Chelsea line-up against FC Krasnodar
English Premier League outfit Chelsea will resume their Champions League campaign against Russia outfit, FC Krasnodar on Wednesday evening, and what is most important for manager Frank Lampard in the game is securing a win after recording two successive draws.
It would be recalled that the Blues’ Champions League opener of the season ended in a goalless draw against Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla last week and they failed again to find the back of the net in the Premier League clash against Man United as the game also ended in a goalless draw at the Old Trafford.
The West London outfit have been rated ahead of the Russan side for a win and more to it is the fact that their Wednesday opponent has been plagued with injuries and might not have their full squad to compete in the game. This adds to the fact that the Blues team will be playing at the Stamford Bridge.

We definitely expect Frank Lampard to make some changes from the weekend game in order to get his team going, especially in goal scoring and also avoiding to concede goals.
After playing a three-man defence against Chelsea and not conceding a goal and recording the second clean sheet, Frank Lampard could ring some changes in his formation to a 4-2-3-1 against FC Krasnodar.
As expected, Edouard Mendy will keep his number one spot after convincing with a god performance against Man United while Hakim Ziyech could be in line for his first full debut at Chelsea. Kai Havertz and Timo Wener could be rested as they are yet to make their mark.

Edouard Mendy, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Zouma, James, Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham.
A win against the Russian club will lift the Blues team and relieve manager Frank Lampard off the pressure on him.
Frank Lampard in a change of mind over this player, reasons revealed
English Premier League outfit Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has had a change of mind over German defender Antonio Rudiger and he is set to give him a chance again in the team for the season.
The Blues boss has subbed the German international since the start of the season as he has not been in action for six games but that has changed with the player revealing that he held talks with the Chelsea legend.
With the lack of playing time, it was almost certain that Antonio Rudiger will leave the West London outfit in the last January winter transfer window with French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain and Tottenham showing interest in him for a loan deal but that did not happen again with the latest development at the club.

Reports claim there was never an issue between Antonio Rudiger and Frank Lampard for not finding playing time and that will not be made evident with the integration of the player into the team.
Antonio Rudiger was named as a substitute player in their weekend game against Man United and Frank Lampard has hinted that he is happy with the contribution of the player and he is likely to be included in the squad that will face FC Krasnodar in the Champions League on Wednesday.
With The West London outfit battling to have quality defending, Antonio Rudiger could be the answer for Frank Lampard as he has started all five matches for Germany so far despite not getting any minute of football for Chelsea this season.
What is now unknown is if Antonio Rudiger will remain at Stamford Bridge after the January winter transfer window as he would be receiving offers from his suitors but the coming weeks will reveal if he would be settled at the club or not.
Chelsea legend exposes unfair treatment of Blues’ summer signing under Lampard
Chelsea legend Alan Hudson has lamented the unfair treatment given to Blues summer transfer signing Timo Werner, noting that he has continued to struggle in the current set up of the team.
Alan Hudson blames this Timo Werner situation on the faulty tactics of manager Frank Lampard as he has failed to give the new signing the opportunity to strive.
He noted that he feels sorry for Timo Werner because he makes some great runs but not being recognized for that to get the ball at the right time because Frank Lampard seems to be more defensive-minded in his tactics to avoid conceding more goals.

Alan Hudson lamented that Timo Werner might stop making these runs if he doesn’t get the ball often, noting that almost every goal he has scored, he has had to create them himself.
“It’s like Mane and Salah at Liverpool- If they make runs, they get the ball, because that is how Klopp wants the team to perform going forward, Even after losing 7-2 (to Aston Villa) he hasn’t stopped playing the way that won them the Champions League and the Premier League, and Frank is nowhere that level of thinking”. He narrated.
Timo Werner is a forward going player and he is not used to a defensive pattern of the game which will make him struggle to live up to expectation at the Stamford Bridge.
However, Frank Lampard has been told that he must improve his game or admit that he is not good enough for the club, especially in their bid to win top honours.
Frank Lampard’s job is currently in the air as he is being criticized for the inconsistent performance and the result of the team. It is feared he would be sacked if the situation does not improve. There are speculations that the club is already in talks for a mew manager.
