The lines seem to be falling in place for manager Mikel Arteta at Arsenal as it has been a win situation for him in all his competitions and wishes since he became the boss at Arsenal.

In his two months reign, the former Man City assistant manager has won two titles, the FA Cup and the Community Shield against Chelsea and Liverpool respectively to start on a very good note.

However, one major contest for him has been the decision of the club to do away with Ainsley Maitland-Niles as he wishes to keep the player at the club for more seasons.

After trying to convince the club but failed, Mikel Arteta decided to feature the player in the Community Shield game against Liverpool and he won the heart of everyone with his impressive performance, winning the Man Of The Match Award.

The decision by Mikel Arteta to play Ainsley Maitland-Niles was all he needed to win the board in the argument over the future of the 23-year-old at the Emirates Stadium.

Now it is reported that the North London outfit hierarchy are now considering to “accept defeat” by making a U-turn on the player to keep him at the club.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles already has offers waiting for him with Wolves keen to land him but their bid of £15 million was rejected.
