The Super Lig club Galatasaray are reportedly preparing a bid to land Man United midfielder Fred on a loan deal this summer transfer window.

The Turkish outfit have been monitoring the situation with the Brazilian international midfielder at the Old Trafford after learning that he might not have enough playing time in the coming season.

The start of last season looked promising for Fred until the coming of Bruno Fernandes in January. He was relegated after seeing the Portuguese form a robust partnership with French midfielder Paul Pogba.

The same is expected to continue in the coming season which means Fred will have to find his way if he must rescue his career and continue his development.

Galatasaray are already thinking of handing him an escape route with a loan deal but that will include an option to buy at the end of the term.

Turkish outlet Fotomac, therefore, reports that the Super Lig club are already preparing to storm the Old Trafford with a bid for the 27-year-old this summer window.

What is unknown is if the Red Devils will agree to release the Brazilian midfielder or will keep him as an option in case of injury situations and other emergencies.

Lampard, Klopp disagree with the Premier League over the new season rules

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp have both aired the same opinion on the decision by the Premier League to split the 20 topflight teams.

The Blues boss argues that the Premier League have “dropped the ball” by not allowing teams to make up to five substitutions this season as a continuation of the post-coronavirus era.

It would be recalled that a temporal change was made to the substitution rule after the return of football from the coronavirus break which allowed clubs to make up to five changes from the traditional three.

Now that football is gradually returning to normal, there is a split among the clubs over whether to change the rule back to normal or continue with the change of five substitutions per game. This has spitted the 20 topflight teams. The argument is based on the hectic fixture schedule.

Voting was later conducted and it was agreed that the change will revert to three substitutions with manager Jurgen Klopp disagreeing with the outcome after voting for five.

Jurgen Klopp when asked before the vote, stated that he wants the substitution to continue with five for the new season, noting that it is not about favouring big clubs alone. He added that “We have 38 games in a four-week-shorter season that says it all”

He stressed that what is needed is to get through the season before football can return to normal with a balanced calendar. The German boss stated that the players will need the development more as it would have an effect on their performance level.

Jurgen Klopp is now being backed by the Blues boss Frank Lampard who stated that the ball was dropped when the Premier League decided against five substitutions.

According to him, the demand from every club on their players is huge and they have to be helped.

Thomas Partey

Liverpool legend John Barnes has affirmed that Arsenal is now a stronger team with the recruitment of Thomas Partey in their team, adding that he will help them to find the right balance.

The Ghanaian international joined the North London outfit in the summer transfer deadline day from Spanish la Liga outfit Atletico Madrid after his release clause of £45 million was activated. His first game for the club got everyone talking and the Liverpool legend also has his voice to lend.

After watching the North London outfit lose against Leicester City, John Barnes is not losing any faith in Mikel Arteta’s side as he expressed confidence that the new signing will help find a balance in the team and help going forward.

The Liverpool legend added that with the former Atletico Madrid midfielder, Arsenal defence will be well shielded as well as the transition from the back to attack.

He said that Arsenal are currently being affected by the strange season with everything going on, citing the Liverpool 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa as one of the effects of the new normal but he is confident that all teams will soon be settled.

John Barnes hailed the Arsenal team for having a good structure process under the Spanish boss as it helps them to look better than they were two seasons ago. The top-four target is a possibility for Arsenal according to the Reds legend.

However, John Barnes argued that the North London outfit have not been scoring goals but that does not mean they do not have good attackers but they are only trying to settle well in the season and will soon get back to their best.

The burden of Arsenal’s goal drought lies on the shoulders of Gabon international forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and he has been backed by manager Mikel Arteta to start scoring again.

A number of players are already considering continuing in the game as managers when they retire from active football by undertaking coaching courses for badges.

Aside from the qualifications, some of them have the quality and knowledge to lead a team which can be clearly seen or observed.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp already has his eyes on one of his players that he can confidently hand over the baton to if he is asked to do so because of the leadership quality he has seen and the vast knowledge of the game the player possesses.

Speaking on the latest talkSPORT’s SOS Situation, a football reality program, the former Borussia Dortmund boss revealed that he would hand the baton to Jordan Henderson as his stand-in manager.

Jordan Henderson is the Reds captain who led the team to win the Champions League last two seasons and the Premier League last season. He has shown to be a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room.

The 30-year-old joined the Merseyside outfit in 2011 and that was the beginning of his discovery of greatness as a football after leaving Sunderland, his childhood club. Under his watch as Liverpool captain, he has won the Premier League, the Champions League, Football League Cup, UEFA Super Cup.

However, Jordan Henderson has not revealed what he intends to do after retiring from football but the coaching job will not be a bad idea for him, especially after the claim made by manager Jurgen Klopp.

He could join the likes of Mikel Arteta, Frank Lampard, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who are managers at Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man United respectively as they ventured into the field immediately after retirement.

Liverpool can also decide to hand one of their former players the job after the exit of manager Jurgen Klopp like other top Premier League teams.
