Expectedly, a number of players are leaving the North London outfit Arsenal before the end of the summer transfer window because of the need to rebuild the team and also cash in from their sales.

Mikel Arteta is in for a new project at the club and has agreed with the Gunners hierarchy to part ways with not less than seven players, the majority of them to be a permanent move.

Rob Holding is one of the names being mentioned that is expected to leave the club before the end of the summer window and Nigel Winterburn has warned that it should not happen.

The 24-year-old has been inconsistent in the Arsenal shirt as a result of the injury troubles he has had to battle, limiting him to 18 appearances in the just-concluded season.

Arsenal now have a new face at the club with the signing of William Saliba while Gabriel Magalhaes is expected to complete his move which makes it a more difficult situation for the English defender.

Nigel Winterburn argues that Rob Holding is one of the players that should not be allowed to leave the club because he has age on his side and will have to enjoy an injury-free season to be able to prove himself.
