Man United are still looking forward to completing their first summer transfer signing but that could happen anytime soon as they are reported to have submitted an offer for Monaco centre-back Benoit Badiashile.

RMC Sport journalist, Mohamed Bouhafsi made this known when he relishes the chances of the Red Devils to capture the highly-rated defender.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on a new defender to partner Harry Maguire and has been linked with a number of players but yet to have a breakthrough in their chase.

Mohamed Bouhafsi revealed that the Red Devils already submitted a bid of £22.4 million but that was rejected as not being enough. It is also believed that Monaco manager Niko Kovac is keen to keep Benoit Badiashile which means Man United will have to do more to be able to lure the club.

The journalist added that the Red Devils will have to move fast with a higher bid for Benoit Badiashile as German Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen are also keen to land the player and could win the race if they act faster.

Meanwhile, Man United are still tipped to make several signings in the coming season as they hope to compete with Liverpool and Man City in the coming season.
