The two Manchester clubs, City and United have been linked with a move for football legend, Lionel Messi as he is reportedly set to end his spell with Spanish La Liga outfit, Barcelona.

No doubt, Lionel Messi is unhappy with the happenings at the club and has officially told the club through a legal document that he wants to leave, insisting that his release clause should be accepted by any of his suitors.

While French Ligue 1 outfit, Paris Saint Germain are reported to have made a move already and are willing to activate the release clause of the Argentina international, the two English Premier League clubs, Man United and Man City are reportedly ready to meet the player’s £500,000 weekly wage.
However, Barcelona are making efforts to keep the 33-year-old and have reportedly sent him a reply, telling him that they want him to stay and finish his career with the Catalans.
