Arsenal’s chances of landing Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho is now very slim as the Spanish La Liga club Barcelona are sett o announce Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman as their new coach.

The Catalans have sacked Quique Setien after his failure in the LA Liga and the Champions League and will look to replace him with Ronald Koeman ahead of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and the club legend Xavi Hernandez who were also available for the job.

However, Ronald Koeman has been asked about Philippe Coutinho and he made it clear that the former Liverpool player is a great player that will be useful to the club in the coming season.

Meanwhile, Philippe Coutinho proved his worth to Barcelona when he helped Bayern Munich to humiliate them in the 8-2 defeat by scoring in the game and providing an assist.

Since joining Barcelona from Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho has not been the same player he was known for, hence he has been sent out on loan to Bayern Munich where he is currently playing.

He is billed to return with the Bundesliga club unwilling to land him on a permanent deal which leaves his future in limbo.

Arsenal is the only club showing a big interest in Philippe Coutinho as he was tipped to land a deal to the Premier League this season.
