English Premier League club, Arsenal have been in the chase of Ghana international midfielder, Thomas Partey this summer transfer window and have made him one of their top targets.
Reports have claimed that negotiation has been ongoing between the two clubs for the past two weeks and there is yet to be a substantial agreement over a deal with the Spanish outfit insisting on £45 million as his release clause.
Manager Mikel Arteta is beginning a rebuilding of his Arsenal team and is ready to bring in some new faces that will help the project, the reason why he has insisted on Thomas Partey to strengthen his midfield.

However, a top journalist, Fabrizio Romano have hinted that the Gunners may not be close to agreeing on a deal for the African player as Atletico Madrid are not willing to negotiate his release clause.
He, therefore, hinted that the Gunners team will have to meet the release clause or risk losing the player this summer window.
Howbeit, manager Mikel Arteta is keen to add a defensive midfielder to his team as he is expected to part ways with Matteo Gunendouzi and Lucas Torriera which makes a replacement needful before the end of this summer window.
