However, a breaking transfer news account on Twitter @Indykaila tweeted that the Gunners board is rushing to convince the player to snub Liverpool and consider a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The tweet claims that a top source at the North London outfit have confirmed that the board is trying to come up with a package that will have Thiago Alcantara at the Emirates Stadium but noted that they are still at the early stage of negotiation as they will have to convince him.
