Man City have just secured the signature of Dutch defender Nathan Ake from Bournemouth for a fee of £41 million despite Man United’s initial interest in the player.
Nathan Ake, who sealed a five-year deal with the Premier League giants to become Pep Guardiola’s second signing this summer after the £21 million deal for Valencia winger Ferran Torres, was earlier tipped to move to the Old Trafford.
However, the Athletic report that while Nathan Ake was with Bournemouth, the club conceded too many goals and that was the reason why the Red Devils refused to continue with the deal.

It is claimed that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had analyzed the profile of the player and his record and was not satisfied because he seeks for a better profile for a centre-back.
However, the Red Devils are still in the search for a better option as they are yet to seal any summer transfer deal this term despite the loud reported interest in England international winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already welcomed Chris Smalling to the club from a loan spell at AS Roma while it is expected that others, like Diogo Dalot, leave the club to create space for new recruits.
