Emiliano Martinez is one player that earned the trust of the Arsenal family with his impressive performance during the restart of the season.

He got the chance when first-choice goalkeeper, Bernd Leno got injured and has proved that he can do the job without any doubt.

It is now reported that the Gunners are ready to give Emiliano Martinez a new deal as a reward that will keep him at the club for more years and could probably get more playing time under manager Mikel Arteta.

The 27-year-old Argentinean barely featured for the Gunners but he still had a very good end of the season as he was instrumental in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup finals.

The Sun is, therefore, reporting that Gabon international forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be alone on the table for a new deal but would be joined by Emiliano Martinez.

What is unknown is if Emiliano Martinez will seek to remain at the club as a second goalkeeper if Bernd Leno returns or will consider a move away to start a new life elsewhere.

Following his impressive performance, Emiliano Martinez is already receiving bids from a number of clubs in England and abroad and that could tempt him for a move.
