Benoit Badiashile

Man United are reported to be on the negotiation table for the signature of Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile in this summer transfer window.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking forward to bolstering his squad for next season’s challenge, especially after securing qualification to the Champions League and the defence is part of the focus.

The club have been keen on Benoit Badiashile and the French media outlet, TF1, as quoted by Daily Mirror is reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is very interested in the 19-year-old.

According to the report, Benoit Badiashile is a left-footed defender, the reason why he is highly needed to be able to partner Red Devils captain, Harry Maguire in the heart of their defence.

However, the Red Devils will not get Benoit Badiashile for any fee less than £15 million if they must convince the French Ligue 1 club to release the defender this summer window.

It is claimed that German Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen had summated a bid less than the £15 million and was rejected by Monaco also they are still in the race and are hoping to return with an improved offer before the end of the summer window.

The Champions League football and hype of the Premier League might just be a factor that could influence Benoit Badiashile’s choice.
