Man United to move for Tottenham defender

Man United will make a move for Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen if they listen to the advice of Jermaine Jenas when he spoke to BBC Radio 5 live.

Jan Vertonghen is readily available for transfer deals as he confirmed his exit from Tottenham after eight years at the White Lane, making him a free player for the Red Devils to invest.

Jenas stated that having Jan Vertonghen on a free would be the best free transfer centre-half for any club in the English Premier League as he urged Man United to immediately make a move.

In his analysis, Jenas told BBC that there is a need to get Jan Vertonghen and have Harry Maguire back on the right side while an actual ball-playing centre-half as a left sider, would change the shape of the Red Devils team.

According to him, Man United have always shown they know what they are doing in terms of transfer deals but they have been far from it in terms of defensive recruits.

There is no doubt that defenders are a major part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for the summer transfer window but it is unsure if he has looked that direction of Jan Vertonghen to help his team for the challenge in the coming season.
