English Premier League outfit Chelsea are enjoying a lifeline on their chances to keep Brazilian international at the Stamford Bridge for more seasons.
The star player is ending his contract with the Blues team at the end of the season and has been on the negotiation table but an agreement is yet to be reached.
Chelsea are keen on not breaking its own rule by handing more than a year contract extension to players who are over 30 years but on the contrary, that has been the terms of the Brazilian international.

However, a number of clubs have been linked with Willian, with the majority of them coming from the English Premier League. Tottenham are lined up for his signature as well as Arsenal and Man United.
The 31-year old is, therefore, reported to be waiting to hand him a deal of his terms before making a decision on his next move. He is giving his current employers to make it call or risk losing him.
This development means the Chelsea man will be forced to join any of the rival clubs in this summer window as he seems not interested in leaving the English Premier League despite interests from other clubs abroad.
