Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hopes to storm the summer transfer market to do some deals that will help save the team of further failures in the coming seasons.

Owing to the poor performance in recent seasons and the inability of the Gunners team to compete for titles, Mikel Arteta called on the club’s management to support the team to finalise deals so as to bring in quality players that will help improve the team and complement those who are already there.

However, the major target for the North London outfit, Thomas Partey is believed to be making a u-turn in the decision about his future to remain with Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid.

It was earlier reported that the Ghanaian international was interested in a move to switch to the Emirates Stadium and his father had given his nod to that but the latest report by GhanaSoccerNet reveals otherwise.

The report says the player has made up his mind to snub Arsenal and sign a new deal of £135,000 weekly wage with Atletico Madrid.

This will no doubt, be a big blow to Arsenal who are hoping to get it right this time as one of the failures will mean not getting the players of their choice or being rejected by quality players.
