Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has finally spoken up on the reported interest for his team’s captain Jan Oblak ahead of the summer transfer window.
Jan Oblak is being linked with a move to English Premier League outfit Chelsea with the Blues hoping to bring him to the Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga who is tipped to leave the club.
The report claims that the performance of Kepa is unacceptable and manager Frank Lampard is in search of an option as he looks to sell the club’s first choice.

Chelsea have, therefore, reported to be offering a swap deal to the Spanish club that will have Jan Oblak join the club while Kepa Arrizabalaga goes the other direction.
Atletico Madrid are reported to be uninterested in Kepa Rrizabalaga and will not seek a swap deal as they value their goalkeeper.
Now, there is the latest reaction from Diego Simeone who claims not to be surprised by the interest in Jan Oblak, adding that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world but stressed that he doesn’t hope to lose him because the shot-stopper has helped the stability of the team in their Champions League outings and they will not be ready to lose such an asset.
