The hopes of Man United fans to have their club engage in the summer transfer market might have been shattered by the claim credited to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils boss confessed that the transfer plans of the club are unknown at the moment because of a number of factors. According to him, the extent of activities in the market will be highly dependent on the position of the team on the EPL log at the end of the season.

Should the Red Devils fail to secure qualification to the Champions League, they might not be able to land some of their targets.

Man United are currently off the top four positions and the fight to earn a place is ongoing but a difficult one. They will be hoping to displace Leicester City with few games left.

Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa star Jack Grealish are amongst the names already mentioned to be on the wanted list of the club in the summer window.

This, therefore, means that Man United may be forced to change their transfer plan and move for other targets or remain with some of their players if they fail to secure Champions League football.
