German international Mesut Ozil has told his friends at Arsenal that he is unmoved by his snub from matches as he will still see out his contract with the club.
Ozil currently enjoys a £350,000-a-week contract with Arsenal and it is expected that he would be shown the exit door because of his unsatisfactory performance but that has not happened.
Maybe it’s a ploy by the Gunners to discourage Mesut Ozil from staying but it’s obviously not working as he is yet to play a single game since the restart of the season, despite the huge weekly wage he pockets.

This, therefore, means that Ozil could leave as a free player as he is currently in his last 12 months at the Emirates Stadium. He would be permitted by the law of the game to begin pre-contract negotiations with any suitors in January.
The decision by manager Mikel Arteta to leave him out of his team is not unconnected with his poor performance as Mesut Ozil has only delivered 3 assists in 23 games for his team in all competitions.
There is no doubt that Arsenal have not benefitted from the service of the World Cup winner in the last months and that remains a big blow to the club.
