Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is of the opinion that the young lad is ripe enough to earn a call-up to represent the country at the senior level anytime soon.
While we can point to the likes of Marcus Rashford, Ross Barkley and other young players who were given the privilege at a very young age, suggestions are that the player should not be distracted with such talks.
This is his debut season and there is no doubt that he has a lot to learn while giving good delivery on the pitch but there is also a need to allow him focus on his game without such distractions.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated that he will help to improve Mason Greenwood and that should be the focus at the moment, not a national team call-up.
