We have now heard from the horse’s mouth that Arsenal will be fully involved in the coming summer transfer window.

This is according manager Mikel Arteta who claims the best thing to do is to get busy in the summer transfer market if the club must compete for titles in the coming season.

Arteta hinted that there will be more buys this summer window, compared to the last window in winter, explaining that the club only wanted to fill some gaps in January so as to stabilize the team.

He told Sky Sports that there is a need to improve the squad, noting that the gap between top Premier League clubs is getting wider and everyone is making efforts to close it down.

However, Arsenal will have to wait until the end of the season as they still battle to book a ticket for Europa League with the Champions League looking unlikely.

With five games left, Arsenal are 7th on the league table and the spot is yet to be sealed.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of players but top on the list is Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey who is also keen to join.

A number of players are also expected to leave the Emirates Stadium to pave ways for newcomers.
