Liverpool are English Premier League current champions and nothing at the moment can change it, not even the 4-0 defeat they suffered against Man City on Thursday night at Etihad.
No thanks to the brace by Kevin De Bruyne and gaols by Phil Foden and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain that caused heavy pain on the Reds team.
It was obvious that Liverpool were disappointed in the defeat and manager Jurgen Klopp could not hide his feelings when he said the result wasn’t expected. However, he noted that certain things will now happen after the defeat, stressing that his team will surely see to that.
- Surprisingly, Arteta confirms Arsenal talks with Madrid, guess the player
- Sadly, you may not see this face at Arsenal next season
- What Manchester United Fans Want To See At Old Trafford
Firstly, he stated that results are important and his side will see that they win their remaining six games to the end of the season. According to him, the remaining games are the reason why his team has been training hard despite winning the title.
Secondly, there is a bid to beat the 100 record points already set by Man City in previous seasons to be able to gain more pride but Jurgen Klopp stressed that they will not be forcing that to happen. Liverpool now have 86 points which means they can still earn 100 points before the end of the season.
Lastly, Klopp seems to be planning some form of revenge when he said “we will see next season”, meaning he is already looking forward to another meeting between the two clubs.
