Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has refused to ramp up the hopes of the Manchester United fans as regards a possible move to the club later this year.

The English midfielder has addressed the transfer rumours of a possible transfer to Old Trafford.

Jack Grealish was asked about Manchester United in an interview with Express & Star and the 24-year-old was delighted with being touted as a possible player for the Red Devils.

Jack Grealish and Aston Villa are in the thick of things as far as the Premier League relegation battle is concerned though they won’t be in league action this weekend due to Carabao Cup commitments.

Aston Villa will face back-to-back champions Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

Manchester City have won the last two editions of the competition but they have a mammoth Champions League clash with Real Madrid before they face Aston Villa.

Real Madrid will host Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie later this week before the return leg in England next month.

Grealish and Aston Villa are yet to win a trophy for the better part of the last 24 years dating back to their FA Cup win in 1996.

For the league, Aston Villa were still able to maintain their place just above the relegation zone despite the defeat suffered at the hands of Southampton during the just concluded weekend.

Shane Long and Stuart Armstrong scored at the start of the game and at the end of the game respectively to give Southampton a 2-0 win at home to Aston Villa who stay one point above the relegation zone after the latest set of league matches.
