Here are the contenders for the Premier League Player of the Year:
1. Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Liverpool and England right-back is a leading contender for the award after a stellar campaign till date. He has hardly missed any game for the Reds this season to highlight his importance to the team. The Liverpool Academy graduate has played his part in the Reds’ quest to win their maiden Premier League title. He has two goals and a whopping 11 assists in the league alone this. Trent Alexander-Arnold was named the December Player of the Month at the start of this year.
2. Marcus Rashford
The Manchester United has been the star player in an inconsistent team this season and his importance to the team has been greatly felt since his back injury in January. The Red Devils are yet to score a single league goal since that injury. Rashford has 19 goals in all competitions.
3. Tammy Abraham
The Chelsea striker has led the line well for his team upon his return from a loan spell at Aston Villa at the end of last season. He has scored 15 goals in all competitions with 13 coming in the Premier League.
