Arsenal have the option to convert his loan transfer to a permanent transfer.
Pablo Mari is no stranger to the Premier League after the Spaniard spent three years at the club before leaving for Brazil.
During his time at Manchester City, he was sent on loan to clubs like Girona in Spain, NAC Breda in the Netherlands and Deportivo La Coruna in Spain.
Pablo Mari signed for Flamengo from Manchester City last summer in a £1m deal and went on to become an integral part of the first team.
