Manchester United have narrowed down their search for the director of football to Antero Henrique as they hope to appoint someone into the role in the coming weeks.
Antero Henrique was a former sporting director at Paris Saint Germain (PSG) until last summer when he was replaced by former Brazilian national team player Leonardo.
According to Foot Mercato, Manchester United are in talks with Antero Henrique over the director of football role.
In the past, Manchester United officials have discussed with former players like Rio Ferdinand, Darren Fletcher and many more over the same director of football role.

Lille sporting director Luis Campos was also touted as the man to take up that role at the club but the Red Devils seem to have moved on from him to another candidate in Antero Henrique who masterminded the signing of Kylian Mbappe at PSG.
French World Cup winner Mbappe initially joined PSG on loan from Monaco before it was made permanent months later in a deal said to be around £160m.
Manchester United fans have been crying out for a director of football to take charge of transfers at the club.
The Red Devils are finding it difficult to sign players in this January transfer window.
