Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is closing in on a loan deal to his native Argentina according to local media outlet mundoalbiceleste.
It was disclosed that the Manchester United utility player is set to join Argentina top club Estudiantes de la Plata on loan for the remainder of this season.
Marcos Rojo is down in the center-back pecking order at Manchester United though the Argentine international star can also play as a left-back.
Ivorian international Eric Bailly recently returned to the Manchester United squad this month after a lengthy injury layoff and he is ahead of Marcos Rojo in the pecking order for the center-back positions at Old Trafford.

The likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly are all ahead of Marcos Rojo in that department.
For the left-back position, Marcos Rojo is still the third choice despite the recent exit of club skipper Ashley Young to Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan.
Youngster Brandon Williams has leapfrogged him in that position.
Williams and first choice Luke Shaw are ahead of Marcos Rojo at left-back at the moment.
Marcos Rojo signed for the Red Devils shortly after impressing for the Argentine national team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.
