Jan Aage Fjortoft disclosed through his official Twitter handle that the Reds would be getting a world-class player if they can sign him.
The ex-Norwegian international star said that Timo Werner scored a world-class volley at the weekend during the recent league game for RB Leipzig to further highlight his quality and also take his goal tally to 20 in the German Bundesliga.
Werner scored twice at the weekend as RB Leipzig came from a goal down to beat Union Berlin 3-1 at home.
The German has now scored 20 goals in 18 league games this season and a total of 25 goals in 26 games in all competitions.
He could be a strong competitor for the Liverpool front trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
