Key Sporting Lisbon player Bruno Fernandes launched a tirade towards club president Fernando Varandas on the phone after the player was told that his dream move to Manchester United is off.
This is according to journalist Duncan Castles who’s the co-presenter of Reach Plc’s Transfer Window Podcast.
According to him, Bruno Fernandes was told on Thursday night that he won’t be joining Manchester United who have failed to match the asking price from Sporting Lisbon for the player who was part of the Portugal team that won the UEFA Nations League last year.
Bruno Fernandes and Portugal won the debut UEFA Nations League via the 1-0 win over the Netherlands in the final.

The Sporting Lisbon skipper delivered the assist for the winning goal of the game scored by Goncalo Guedes.
Duncan Castles said that Manchester United have offered £42.6m for Bruno Fernandes which is a far cry from the £60m valuation slapped on the player by Sporting Lisbon.
The Manchester United offer is said to include £25.6m in add-ons.
Bruno Fernandes is a long-term target for the Red Devils dating back to last year.
Tottenham Hotspur were also interested in him but they are no longer in the race after the loan signing of Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes.
