Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed summer signing Harry Maguire as the new Manchester United skipper.

The Manchester United manager named Harry Maguire as the man to replace Ashley Young as the Red Devils captain during his pre-match presser on Friday morning.

Harry Maguire is in his first season at Manchester United and the Three Lions of England centre back has assumed the captain role for a lot of the Manchester United games this season in the absence of Ashley Young in the starting XI and will now take the role permanently with the imminent transfer of Ashley Young to Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A.

Inter Milan have agreed a transfer fee of €1.5m plus bonuses for Ashley Young and he has been given the permission to join the Italians by Manchester United officials.

Ashley Young signed for Manchester United from Midlands club Aston Villa in 2011 and he started his career at Old Trafford as a winger before he reverted to fullback either as a left-back or as a right-back.
