Manchester United officials might need to boost the team with quality midfielders in the current January window as evident by the lack of quality in midfield during the three games played in 2020 and Ajax Amsterdam star Donny Van Der Beek could be a good candidate.

The Red Devils have been missing the services of both Pogba and McTominay since last month with the duo making their last outing in the same game, 4-1 victory over Newcastle United at home.

Paul Pogba came on at halftime for Scott McTominay who has sustained a knee injury during the first half of the game before the Frenchman aggravated the ankle problem that has plagued him for the majority of this campaign and restricted him to just eight games for Manchester United since the start of this season.

With Manchester United lightweight in midfield at the moment, the Red Devils have been linked with a lot of midfielders from Gedson Fernandes of Benfica to Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes and many more.

Donny Van Der Beek of Ajax Amsterdam is also a target and he will definitely add more quality and a goalscoring threat to the midfield at Manchester United.

The Dutch international rated £50m has scored eight goals and added five assists in just 26 games this season.
