It was reported earlier in the week that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana with the hope of launching a bid for his services in January.

The Daily Mail revealed that two Premier League giants are interested in upgrading their goalkeeping department before the end of this campaign and they have listed the Cameroon international as a perfect option.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have received a huge boost in their hopes of luring the former Barcelona starlet to Old Trafford after the goalkeeper failed to rule out a possible move away from Ajax in the nearest future.

According to Onana while speaking after their 4-4 draw with Chelsea on Tuesday, it is impossible to remain with the Eredivisie giants forever because there will be a need to move on at some point in his career.

He, however, said that he is happy at Ajax and he has no reason to force a move out of the Dutch side in January, which means Solskjaer and Mauricio Pochettino might need to wait till the summer transfer window before making an official approach towards signing the goalkeeper who has featured in 160 matches for Ajax since 2015.
