Arsenal wont be pursuing their interest further as regards highly rated French centre back Dayot Upamecano who is on the payroll of RB Leipzig in the top flight of German football.
This is according to Sky Sports reporter Dhamesh Sheth who disclosed that the Gunners are prepared to wait for William Saliba to return to the club this summer rather than spend a lot of money on the transfer of the RB Leipzig player.
Dhamesh Sheth told Sky Sports Transfer Show that Arsenal won’t be active in the winter market before adding that things could still change with many days left before the end of the transfer window.
Arsenal signed French defensive prospect William Saliba last summer ahead of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners signed the French centre back from Ligue 1 club Saint Etienne before sending him back to the team on loan for this season.
Saint Etienne received £27m for the transfer of William Saliba.
Dayot Upamecano has 18 months left on his current deal at RB Leipzig and it would be difficult for the Germans to let the defender leave them in midseason.
RB Leipzig are the league leaders in Germany and they are also in the last 16 of the Champions League.
