Manchester United have a mini-crisis in midfield and they could look into the transfer window to solve the situation with the club considering whether or not to make a move for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff.
The injuries to Scott McTominay and the controversial Paul Pogba have thrown the Red Devils into a crisis of some sort.
With those two key players not in the Manchester United squad at the moment, the Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to make do with the midfield options of Nemanja Matic, Fred and Andreas Pereira.
Fred and Matic started the last game, a Premier League outing at Arsenal and they were both overrun in midfield.

The lack of quality was evident in the middle of the park and Solskjaer must find a situation to prevent the season from running along without any purpose for Manchester United.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United were hopeful of signing Sean Longstaff last summer but the transfer didn’t happen.
Manchester United were partly scared away by the £50m asking price on him in the transfer window last summer.
That fee has dropped to just £40m in the current transfer market and the Red Devils could take advantage by signing the young English midfielder.
