New Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will pick his first lineup at the club when the Gunners take on Bournemouth away from home in one of the week 19 games scheduled to take place on Boxing Day and his selection will give the Gunners Faithfuls some insight into his idea of a permanent starting lineup ahead of the New Year 2020.

Mikel Arteta won’t have much else to call upon with Arsenal not expected to be overly active in the January transfer window.

His starting lineup for the Bournemouth is not expected to change much from the one named by interim manager Freddie Ljungberg for the Everton game.

Freddie Ljungberg is a club legend and he has been asked to stay on as one of the assistants to new manager Mikel Arteta who has penned a contract until 2023.

Calum Chambers is suspended for the Bournemouth game because of five yellow cards but he could still miss out on a center back position at the start of 2020 with David Luiz and Sokratis Papasthathopoulos likely to be preferred by Mikel Arteta until he can sign quality central defenders.

Arsenal starting XI for 2020: Bernd Leno; Hector Bellerin, Sokratis Papasthathopoulos, David Luiz, Bukayo Saka; Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, Mesut Ozil; Nicholas Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel Martinelli.
