EPL: Liverpool Declared Premier League Winners After 18 Games [read why]
Reigning European and Club World Cup champions Liverpool have been declared the Premier League winners for this season by Alan Shearer.
The Premier League legend made the declaration while he was on BBC Match of the Day programme on Saturday night.
According to the Southampton, Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United legend, Liverpool have a big gap at the top of the Premier League table which will be difficult for the chasing pack to make up before the season ends.
He was reacting to the defeat suffered by Leicester City at the hands of reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

Leicester City are in second place but they missed out on the opportunity to close the gap on the leaders Liverpool who were in Club World Cup action.
Manchester City beat Leicester City 3-1 as they came from a goal down to beat their opponents and close to within one point of the Foxes.
As it stands, Liverpool have a ten-point lead over Leicester City in second place and an 11-point advantage over champions Manchester City in third place with a game in hand.
Alan Shearer is adamant that Liverpool will break their long title drought in the league which has spanned over three decades as it is impossible for either Manchester City or Leicester City catch them at the top of the league table.
