Liverpool have been boosted by the news that star defender Virgil Van Dijk has returned to training in time for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup tournament final in Qatar.
The Reds face Brazilian Serie A club Flamengo on Saturday evening in the final of the tournament and Van Dijk is expected to return to the Liverpool starting XI for the game.
The Dutchman missed the semifinal win over Mexican club Monterrey earlier in the week because of illness.
Without Van Dijk, Liverpool made heavy work of their Mexican opponents as they needed a late goal to secure their place in the final.

Liverpool will face a Flamengo side that came from a goal down to beat 10-man Al Hilal FC of Saudi Arabia 3-1 in their semifinal clash.
